A lookup field links a record to one in another table. Adding one also creates the relationship between the two tables, gives the form a search that finds records as you type, and puts a Related tab on the record at the other end.

Deleting a table in Parsware removes its definition and its data from the environment, so the platform first checks what still depends on it. A lookup that points at the table, or an app that shows it, blocks the delete and is listed by name.

A saved query in Parsware is a question your solution owns. Build one in the query designer from a table, the tables joined to it, the columns it returns and the conditions that narrow it, and every save is checked against the environment's real tables before anything can use it.

Dataverse stores a lookup as an id and a choice as a number, and neither belongs on a printed page. A Parsware report prints the related record's name and the choice's label instead, with no extra work. Here's a list of cases with the contact each one belongs to and its priority.
